As Macworld reports, the National Bureau of Economic Research carried out a statistical analysis in which it found a strong correlation between lower birth rates in parts of the US with higher-than-average iPhone ownership.
The authors of the study claim the data supports their conclusion.

While I have to give points for an imaginative methodology, the conclusion seems a stretch to put it mildly. There is a well-established correlation between better educated, higher earning demographics and lower birth rates, especially when it comes to unplanned pregnancies. Since this also matches the demographic of iPhone owners, the correlation should come as no surprise.
